Hello survivors, today I released a pretty massive update. In it I’ve touched pretty much everything from saves to optimization. Let’s get to the list of changes:
1. Added player money that the player keeps with him and can store in the bank (in the Frankov location).
2. Added searching of various props in the game, including all sorts of drawers, nightstands, cabinets, etc.
3. Added secret backpacks with loot where valuable items are stored.
4. Added a new save system that allows you to create an infinite number of profiles and easily switch between them.
5. Added descriptions for game modes.
6. Added the ability to find items through the marketplace search.
7. Fixed a bug with quest location.
8. Changes in all locations, including Nowa Huta and Frankov.
9. Added a new case with new skins.
10. Added a tri-planar shader for skins, which will save me time on remodeling the UV of all weapons.
11. Added description and list of all skins from the cases.
12. Fixed weapon inspection of the skins.
13. Added buttstrike (knife button).
14. Fixed many particles.
15. Changes in the logic of behavior of NPCs, which now have field of view, not just hearing.
16. Client-server side fixes.
17. NPC damage now depends on the distance from the player.
18. Added PDA (Map Viewer).
19. Added radiation indicator.
20. Changes in the logic of dialogues with NPCs (now you can even write your lines as a mod).
21. Fixed the bug of server crash when transiting between locations.
22. Added basic economy of the game.
23. NPC now sells weapons only of the highest quality, while random things have the worst, which is logical.
24. Added weapon jamming when weapons are of poor quality.
25. Changed completely all cars in the game.
26. Added the logic of loadout when entering a new safe (you can now buy things at a cheaper price than traders during the creation of a new safe, the money is taken those that were invested in the bank from other safes)
27. Now you can not change the map and game mode after the first entry from the used safe, which is logical.
28. Added raid mode (Tarkov, from it only the name). This is a session mode, where the player needs to complete a quest in 25 minutes, and then find the exit from the location, and if the player survives and reaches the exit, he gets money to his bank account, and also saves items that he had in the raid, which will facilitate further passage, but if the player dies or does not have time to reach the exit, all his things will be lost.
29. Major changes to how quests work.
30. Changed the game character, he now has hands (third person) and just became much more beautiful (and handsome in some ways).
31. Fixes in the work of ragdoll physics(he did not become much better, but now at least at death smack funny against the pavement, instead of descending like a parachute)
32. Added new aim logic in the game (not yet on all weapons)
33. Optimization of light.
34. Added speedometer inside the car.
35. Redrawn clothing, including premium clothing.
36. Strong changes to how static lighting works (it now updates once per second (Hello Crysis 1 from consoles))).
37. Added GPU Instancing shader for all houses that have a solid color instead of a texture, so they all now have one material instead of a thousand, which made an incredible difference in performance, especially in Nowa Huta.
38. Added procedurally generated terrain under players for static lighting (now shadows won’t hang in the air).
39. Now NPCs can follow the player (under certain conditions, of course)
40. and a bunch of other stuff.
